Original application (2014)
In 2014, Warfield Park submitted an planning application to Bracknell Forest Borough Council to include: an extension to the community hall with alterations to associated car parking; enlargement of Warfield Park to the north, west and east to provide for the siting of up to 142 additional mobile homes; and provision of land for allotments and suitable alternative natural green space with access improvements, landscaping and biodiversity measures. This origional application was withdrawn in the summer of 2014.
In detail, the original project consisted of the following:
- Additional 142 pitches, the majority (116) of which will be on the North and South Fields at Chavey Down Farm, with 14 north of Harvest Lea, eight to the north-west of the site, off Forest Way, and four in a small clearing to the north-east .
- The layout of the South Field has been revised incorporating the road between the existing and new residents, increasing the buffer.
- A new entrance has been added to the South Field further down Long Hill Drive, by the allotments, retaining the access opposite Whitegates as a secondary access, and changing the access between 55 and 53 The Larches to be pedestrian only.
Fencing on the proposed site off Forest Way will be reinstated to the north of the new pitches to retain privacy and avoid through pedestrian and cycle traffic.
